GEUS er stærkt repræsenteret på dette års EGU-konference

Den store geovidenskabelige konference arrangeret af European Geosciences Union (EGU) er i fuld gang, og som altid har GEUS sendt en række forskere afsted med postere og oplæg indenfor en bred vifte af fagområder.

Netop i disse dage er titusindvis af forskere fra hele verden samlet i Wien til en uge i geovidenskabens tegn. På den årlige konference EGU General Assembly får de lejlighed til at præsentere egen forskning og høre om andres, at dykke ned i posters og deltage i faglige sessioner på tværs af en bred vifte af geovidenskabelige discipliner.

Samtidig er det en chance for at dele og diskutere den nyeste viden – fra klimaændringer, grundvand og geotermi til råstoffer, geofarer og bæredygtig udnyttelse af undergrunden. Og det er områder, hvor GEUS i den grad kan byde ind.

En vigtig platform

GEUS er da også stærkt repræsenteret på dette års konference, hvor vores forskere bidrager med oplæg og posters inden for mange fagområder og deltager aktivt i workshops, paneler og netværksaktiviteter. Det er en vigtig platform for at dele forskning internationalt og tage ny viden og inspiration med hjem.

Deltagelsen i EGU General Assembly er også en central del af GEUS’ internationale samarbejde. Her mødes forskerne med forskningspartnere, opbygger nye relationer og styrker eksisterende samarbejder – alt sammen afgørende for at kunne håndtere komplekse udfordringer, særligt inden for klima, energi og naturressourcer.
